Andrea McWilliams Makes Her Mark In Texas Politics
Andrea McWilliams is a political fundraiser and lobbyist based in Austin, Texas. She is known for using both persistence and patience to achieve her goals. Her attention to detail and unique skill set has also garnered her considerable media attention, and she has been featured on popular news outlets such as USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR and Newsweek.
McWilliams is also a national political commentator and has been named a “consigliere to the powerful and political” by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, McWilliams was the only lobbyist to have the distinction of being profiled with the Speaker of the House, governor and lieutenant governor in the POWER section of Texas Monthly.
Andrea McWilliams has received the Profiles in Power award from the Austin Business Journal and the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce named her a 2016 Texas Businesswoman of the Year finalist. McWilliams is also the recipient of the Style Setter award from Austin Fashion Week and has also received the Austin Under 40 Award from the Austin American-Statesman.
McWilliams became the Chief of Staff at just 21 years of age, and has been perfecting her grassroots fundraising skills ever since. Her public relations company, Public Strategies Inc., has represented a number of political clients in a fair and balanced way. This is largely due to the fact that she runs the company with her husband Dean, and the couple is a Republican-Democratic team.
Andrea McWilliams now lives in Old Enfield with her husband and three children.
