More people than you’d ever imagine regularly use the World Wide Web. iPass is a relatively new company that links together some 65 million wireless Internet hotspots around the globe. Access to the global network doesn’t cost very much per month. It’s also been growing objectively quickly because of its low price and unprecedented features.

Fortress Investment Group is an alternative investment firm. As such, Fortress Investment Group stores its clients’ assets in all kinds of opportunities to make sure they get the best returns possible.

Fortress Investment Group forked over some $20 million to iPass to grow its network even further. This way “the gap to profitability” can be closed even further, making it possible for iPass to finally get in the black instead of the red. Fortress Investment Group will get some 340 million hotspots for iPass by the end of the year.
